Let Us Open Our Door To All Who are Knocking

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”

-Revelation 3:20

The verse is pretty straight forward about Christ knocking on us and it is all on us if we are going to let him in or not. This verse reminds me, when there is someone inviting me on congregation or any activities that God will be praised. The verse telling me that I should open my heart to let him in and eat with him.

Another insight that came to my mind is when someone is asking for our help knocking in our hearts. “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Mathew 25:40) We should always open our door to those who are knocking, let us give them food and eat with them as God dine with us.

Does devil Know What Inside Our Mind?

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

-James 4:7

I’m asking before, does devil know what we are thinking? How he knows the vulnerable part of us? Does he know what inside my mind? Why he is always winning the battle in my mind?

I heard from different pastors that God is the only all-knowing. He is the only one who knows what’s in our mind. So that’s the fact.

But then we are giving the enemy a hint about our weaknesses and he uses it to temptate us. The enemy seeing us in our addiction, the enemy is seeing our desires based on what you do, the enemy is know our treasure (Mathew 6:21) and with this he can easily know our heart and use it against our spiritual will.

And for me, the best thing to win battle is not having fight at all. So before the battle of temptation ignited in our mind, it is better to not to go on that situation. Temptation is everywhere and we need to fight it as a Christian, and the best we can do is to resist the enemy and let it flee from us.

Stop, Whatever You Are Doing And Think God

“For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.”

-2 Corinthians 7:10

I don’t know if I’m the only one doing this but sometimes, I feel sad especially upon listening on christian songs and think about me and what God have done for me. And from that thoughts, I feel sorry on what I’ve done despite of him being good to me I did things that he don’t want.

But sometimes we are too busy in this world or sometimes we can’t think about the goodness of God because we are suffering from worldly grief. Problems and challenges in life that can make you think and doubt about the love God. The worst if we are going to ask a question of, “how a God of love let us experience such pain.”

So just stop whatever your are doing right now and think about God and what goodness he done to us. Repent for our sins because that repentance will lead us to salvation.
