Do Not Pay Evil With Evil

“Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you.” 

-Proverbs 20:22

This is reminds me of the movie, Count of Monte Cristo one of my favorite movie that deals with revenge. It is about the story of a friendship but envy messed their relationship and made the antagonist to  betray his bestfriend and and let him suffer for 14 years in jail. There he met a priest that taught him about everything including the hidden treasure buried in Monte Cristo. Protagonist believes that this will be his ticket for revenge but the priest stopped him saying with his dying breath, “Here is your final lesson – do not commit the crime for which you now serve the sentence. God said, “Vengeance is mine.” But that’s not all that made this movie so meaningful to me, as the protagonist said, “I don’t believe in God” the priest replied, “It doesn’t matter. He believes in you.“

Yes He believes in us and he will deliver us just don’t repay evil.
